  • New Website Aims to Make NJ Residents More Heart Healthy

    The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states that one out of four deaths in New Jersey are due to heart disease. Due to this, the New Jersey Hospital Association has launched a website for the general public. This website will be helpful for all NJ residents, including those from smaller towns like North Arlington.

  • North Arlington Library hosts George Miller art show on April 5

    The North Arlington Library will host the George Miller art show on April 5th, 2012 at 6:30pm. This will be the third time that the library has hosted such a show.

  • Delta Dental donates $1.5 million to special needs dental patients

    The New Jersey company Delta Dental has made a $1.5 million dollar donation to the Foundation of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. This funding will be used to modernize and to expand the New Jersey Dental Schools Special Care Center. The goal of the grant is to increase patient access to dental services for those who have severe physical or cognitive limitations.

  • Ski resort hosts breast cancer fundraiser

    A fund raiser called The Tubbs Romp to Stomp Out Breast Cancer Snowshoe Series will be held at Mountain Creek Ski Resort on the 21st of January, 2012. Last year the same event raised almost $40,000. Due to the popularity of the event, people from suburbs such as North Arlington and Newark are expected to make the journey to Vernon, New Jersey.

  • Light Rail extension plan awaits public comment

    Residents of New Jersey will have the opportunity to voice their opinion on the plan to extend the Hudson-Bergen light-rail service into Bergen County. This project would allow residents of towns such as North Arlington to have access to cross-Hudson ferries, PATH trains and the NJ Transit rail service.
